Accessibility Services

Accessibility Services supports students with temporary or permanent disabilities who have valid documentation, and interim accommodations are possible while you wait for it. You don't have to disclose your diagnosis, except for learning disabilities. A learning disability needs an assessment from the last 5 years by a registered psychologist. A counsellor builds your Accommodation Plan with you, so book a meeting before the semester starts.

Counselling and the Health Centre

Counsellors at the Windsor and Chatham campuses offer voluntary, confidential help with academic planning, stress, problem-solving and career decisions. The Health Centre, with locations at the main Windsor campus and Chatham, provides first aid and primary care to enrolled students. Appointments are recommended.

Free peer tutoring

Free peer tutoring is open to full-time students, in person or online through the Nimbus Learning app. You can book up to 3 hours of course tutoring a week, plus walk-in help, though not every course has a tutor.

Saints athletics and recreation

The Saints compete in 15 varsity teams, including football, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, cross-country and golf. Eligible varsity athletes can get the maximum OCAA scholarship of $1,500 per sport semester. Full-time students get free intramurals, free tennis and free use of the pool. Windsor's SportsPlex has a 10,000-square-foot fitness centre, and Chatham's HealthPlex has a double gym.

Indigenous Student Centre

Indigenous Student Centres in Windsor and Chatham, led by Indigenous staff, offer cultural programming, Traditional Medicines for smudging, and appointments with an Indigenous Counsellor or Elder. Staff also help with scholarship applications and host the annual Student and Alumni Pow Wow.

Decision checklist

  • Book Accessibility Services before the semester.
  • Download Nimbus Learning for tutoring.
