Arrange academic access

Accessibility Services supports students with documented permanent or temporary disabilities. Current documentation is required for academic accommodations, and the College recommends providing it well before classes so eligibility and arrangements can be reviewed.

Use counselling within its scope

Counsellors offer confidential, short-term, goal-oriented support for up to eight sessions to current students regardless of fee status. Prospective students may receive one or two program-information or academic-advice appointments; service from outside BC may require department-head approval.

Students book counselling for their main campus, while Grand Forks and Nakusp appointments go through the Welcome Centre. The service excludes formal psychological assessments and routes needs beyond its scope to community resources.

Connect with Indigenous Services

Indigenous Services supports prospective and current Indigenous students with financial and sponsor advice, counselling, cultural activities, navigators, funding information and dedicated spaces. Students should contact the relevant service to confirm a specific arrangement.
