Choose a program and credential
The College search mixes full-time programs with Community Education and Workplace Training programs and courses. Filter by type, credential, school and delivery mode; credential choices include certificates, diplomas, advanced credentials, associate degrees and bachelor's degrees.
Use GIS as a scoped example
The GIS Advanced Diploma is listed as one year, on campus at Castlegar, with a Fall intake. It covers mapping, remote sensing, internet mapping, databases, programming, GPS, three-dimensional visualization and data-management techniques.
Check entry and completion
Fully qualified applicants normally need 60 credits from an accredited diploma, associate degree, applied degree or academic degree, with at least a 2.33 GPA. Work experience or equivalent education may support another route, but applicants without an accredited credential may need upgrading. The file is normally due one month before the program starts; late applications may be considered when space remains.
The program requires a Semester 3 co-op work term. Its page also requires a 2.00 credential GPA and at least 60% in graded courses; GIS 320 and COOP 301 require CRG for graduation.
Decision checklist
- Verify Castlegar delivery and the Fall intake.
- Have prior study and any alternative-entry evidence assessed.
- Confirm the co-op, progression and graduation rules in the current calendar.
