Use programme-specific costs
Northern Lakes College says each programme has specific fees. The 2026–27 Academic Upgrading schedule shows why periods and credit load matter: five credits total an estimated $1,035, while 30 credits across two semesters total an estimated $6,210. Those examples include tuition, learning-resource, student-association and technology charges and do not represent another programme.
Separate deposits and payment arrangements
A $300 seat deposit applies only to accepted domestic students in the listed oversubscribed programmes. International students instead pay a $5,000 non-transferable seat deposit before NLC issues the LOA and PAL; it applies to first-term fees and carries the limited permit-denial refund conditions described in admissions. Fee Payment Agreements are for self-paying students who need instalments, while Fee Deferral Agreements address approved funding that will arrive after the fee deadline. Approval should be confirmed before treating either as payment completion.

Academic Upgrading has no application fee, while international career-programme applications carry a $50 non-refundable fee each. Financial aid, awards and funding appear as separate student resources. Check programme eligibility and deadlines rather than treating a listed funding route as guaranteed support.
