Start with the current term
The international-student notice says Winter international applications close October 15, 2026. This is not a domestic college-wide deadline and does not replace a programme's own start date, seat status or document requirements. ApplyAlberta can forward transcripts from Alberta Education and participating institutions; other records may require a separate route.
Apply under the correct fee rule
International applicants to career programmes pay a $50 non-refundable fee for each application. Academic Upgrading explicitly has no application fee. These are route-specific statements, so do not apply either amount to every domestic, apprenticeship, continuing-education or other programme without its current instructions.
Complete programme and deposit conditions
Domestic students accepted to the listed oversubscribed programmes must pay a $300 tuition deposit to hold the seat. Separately, international students pay a $5,000 non-transferable seat deposit; NLC withholds the LOA and PAL until full payment and applies it to first-term fees. Proof of permit denial before the programme starts allows a $3,500 refund; $1,500 remains non-refundable. The college also lists missing permits, no timely denial proof or non-attendance as grounds for retaining the full $5,000. Confirm the refund conditions for your situation before paying.
