Use job-search support
Career Services helps with résumés, cover letters, professional profiles, interviews, career planning and finding opportunities. CareerCentral is for NIC students and includes a job board, events and adviser appointments; using it does not guarantee employment.
Students book through CareerCentral by choosing Students and Alumni, selecting student-employment appointments, choosing a date or appointment type, and submitting information. Confirmation goes to the NIC student email.
Check the program's WIL contract
Work-integrated learning means program-related experience with academic credit and may be paid or unpaid. The current page identifies optional co-op for named Business programs and a mandatory internship for the Accounting post-graduate diploma, so requirements must be checked by program.
NIC describes co-op as paid full-time work related to the field of study, with each term at least 420 hours over four months. Career and WIL services support preparation and access; employers and program rules determine selection and completion.
