International applicants pick New international student in EducationPlannerBC. They pay a CAD $100 application fee. This fee is non-refundable. The school may ask for passport pages. It may ask for academic records. It may ask for English results. It may ask for program-specific documents. Non-English originals need certified third-party translations.

International applications open in October for the following academic year. NIC recommends applying six months before the term. Deadlines do not guarantee processing or space. The College advises confirming an open seat before paying. It also advises waiting ten business days before follow-up.

The Associate of Arts Degree is a 60-credit credential with on-campus, digital and blended delivery. It combines English, humanities, social sciences, science and electives; students build a course plan rather than assuming every subject runs at every campus or term.

Its published full-program estimate is $9,480 domestic or $35,185 international, subject to change and possible additional fees. Both estimates exclude books, which the page estimates at $200 per course.

The page describes the credential as transferable to universities in Canada, while NIC's transfer guidance directs students to agreements and the BC Transfer Guide. Receiving institutions decide admission and credit, so a pathway is not a transfer guarantee.

Applicants first apply to NIC, obtain an NIC email, apply through the housing portal and pay a non-refundable $50 fee. They then monitor NIC email for a room offer; an application and fee are not confirmation of a particular unit.

Monthly figures range from $980 per person for a quad to $2,200 for a family unit, while actual rent is the nightly rate multiplied by the month’s nights. NIC’s 30-day labels do not reconcile for Nano, Quad or Family, so confirm the priced room offer before budgeting. Water, electricity, heat, Wi-Fi and parking are included; laundry is pay per load.

Fall 2026 runs September 7 to December 19 with full-term rent due August 1. Winter 2027 runs January 4 to April 24 and is due December 1; Spring runs May 2 to August 14 and is due April 1. Monthly payment follows NIC’s instalment schedule and adds an administration fee with the first month; NIC does not publish its amount on this page.

NIC's aid hub routes future and current students to student aid, emergency help, scholarships, bursaries and apprenticeship funding. Students should confirm citizenship, residency, program, course-load, deadline and documentation rules for the specific funding source.

NIC describes counselling for registered students as free, professional and confidential. It helps with personal, career and educational concerns. Students choose the current booking route and appointment format. Do not assume care that is immediate or continuous.

Counselling pages also direct urgent or crisis needs to appropriate emergency and crisis resources. A college appointment is a bounded support route. It is not a substitute for emergency services. It is not a promise of a specific treatment outcome.

Work-integrated learning means program-related experience with academic credit and may be paid or unpaid. The current page identifies optional co-op for named Business programs and a mandatory internship for the Accounting post-graduate diploma, so requirements must be checked by program.

NIC describes co-op as paid full-time work related to the field of study, with each term at least 420 hours over four months. Career and WIL services support preparation and access; employers and program rules determine selection and completion.
