Tuition and ancillary fees

Most Loyalist programs charge standard tuition: $1,388.26 per term for domestic students and $8,347.50 for international students in 2026–27. A fall start usually means two terms, or $2,776.52 for a domestic student, though some programs run all three terms. Ancillary fees are $749.15 per term at Belleville. Books and supplies can add $500 to $2,500 a year. Indigenous students who live in the United States pay domestic tuition under the Jay Treaty.

Deposit and payment deadlines

Domestic students pay a non-refundable $250 seat deposit once per academic year, due June 15 for fall, November 1 for winter and March 1 for spring. OSAP and bursary recipients still pay it unless told otherwise. Loyalist doesn't send payment reminders, so put the myFees payment plan dates in your calendar. You need to be in good financial standing to register, get grades or receive your credential.

Withdrawals and refunds

Withdraw officially by day 10 of classes and domestic students get tuition and ancillary fees back minus the deposit. International students lose $250 after a study permit denial, or $2,600 if they can't attend for personal, financial or medical reasons. Not attending doesn't count as withdrawing. Refunds take up to six weeks.

OSAP rules at Loyalist

Ontario's 2026–27 OSAP application is open, and Loyalist says the 2027–28 application opens in May. Full-time OSAP needs at least a 60% course load each semester, or 40% for students with a permanent disability. OSAP loans aren't available before classes start, so plan to pay your deposit yourself.

Bursaries and scholarships

One donor-funded application considers you for more than 200 bursaries and scholarships, and Loyalist gives out more than $700,000 a year. It reviews applications in three rounds, listed for 2026–27 as October 13 and December 6, 2026 and February 1, 2027. Government bursaries need demonstrated financial need. The Ontario Learn and Stay Grant covers tuition, fees and books for Practical Nursing and nursing degree students who agree to work in the region afterward.
