Apply through ontariocolleges.ca
Domestic students apply to in-class certificate, diploma and degree programs at ontariocolleges.ca. Ontario Colleges charges a non-refundable $150 fee for up to five choices, no more than three at one college, starting in the same August-to-July year. Each program page lists required and recommended courses. Distance, continuing education, apprenticeship and dual-credit routes apply differently.
Key dates every year
Applications open in early October, and November 1 is the earliest offer date. Apply by February 1 for equal consideration for fall programs, which matters most for competitive ones. Loyalist keeps taking applications after that, first come, first served, until programs fill. Confirm your offer by May 1 unless your offer letter gives a later date. If you're waitlisted, you can accept another offer and stay on the list.
Mature and transfer applicants
If you're 19 or older on the first day of classes without an OSSD, you apply as a mature student and may write a diagnostic test. This route is only for Canadian citizens and permanent residents. If you've finished part of a program at another Ontario college, Loyalist accepts you into the same or a similar program with transfer credit. Send records of your other studies when you apply.
International applicants
International students apply through an approved agent or directly through the Ontario Colleges International Application Service (IAS). Upload your passport, certified and translated transcripts, diploma and English proof, plus a resume if you graduated more than two years ago. Pay the $110 fee through Flywire, then go back and click Submit. After you get a Letter of Acceptance, pay the deposit by its deadline or risk losing your place.
