Student Career Services

Student Career Services offers one-on-one career appointments, resume and cover letter reviews, and the MyCareer College Job Bank. Career Coaching and Employer Services help graduates and alumni find work, and the office runs information sessions and career fairs with employers.

Co-op and work placements

Co-op terms are four months, full time, from May to August, alternating with study. Work placements happen in the final semester of programs that include one, and finishing the placement is the last step toward graduation. Career help doesn't guarantee a job.

Work permits for international co-op

Confederation's international guide still tells co-op students to apply for a co-op work permit with their study permit. Since April 1, 2026, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) says post-secondary international students don't need a co-op work permit for required work placements, if their study permit allows on-campus work and they have a letter from the college. Check IRCC's page before you apply.
