Compare CIST applicant estimates
For 2026–27 CIST, the domestic Year 1 estimate lists $7,093.80 tuition, a $30 application fee, $69 Students' Association fee, $100 bus pass and $240 health-and-dental fee. The international Year 1 estimate lists $17,720.10 tuition, $100 application fee, $100 one-time International Education fee, $69 association fee, $100 bus pass, $240 health-and-dental fee and $270 guard.me insurance. Both are estimates subject to change, may add elective lab fees, and exclude textbooks and supplies.
Match the payment deadline
The fee page says the Winter 2027 semester deadline is November 13, 2026 and Spring 2026 and 2027 fees are due at the start of class. The important-dates page gives August 7, 2026 for Fall 2026 semestered programs. Some program groups use the date in the admission letter. Student-loan deferral requires proof of the aid application or assessment, and an uncovered balance remains due by the established date.
Test each aid route's eligibility
College awards have separate eligibility. The general page describes current-student full time as a 60% course load, or 40% for a student with a documented disability. Its entrance scholarship is for Canadian citizens or permanent residents arriving directly from secondary school. The entrance bursary is for eligible first-year full-time post-secondary students with financial need and a student-aid assessment or budget evidence. The displayed July 15, 2026 bursary deadline is a past cycle; the page separately says entrance bursary applications will open in 2027.
