Choose the applicant route
Use the program guide’s application link and read the selected program’s admissions section before applying. CNA’s current program pages show domestic and international application status separately; the status can differ by campus and intake. The Systems and Network Administration page requires international applicants to meet CNA’s English language proficiency requirements and directs them to Admission Procedures AC-102-PR, section 5.2. Check that procedure for the accepted evidence before applying.
Check the academic requirements
Systems and Network Administration lists four academic admission routes: high school, College Transition, Adult Basic Education and individual mature-student consideration. The Newfoundland and Labrador high-school route requires provincial graduation with a 60% overall average in the specified courses. These include English 3201 at 60% or higher and five credits at the 3000 level, or equivalents. Its four mathematics credits use either Advanced 2200 and 3200 at 50% each, or Academic 2201 at 50% and 3201 at 60%.
The College Transition, Adult Basic Education and mature-student routes have their own course and grade conditions on the program page. Mature applicants must be at least 19 when applying and out of school for at least a year. Meeting a route’s criteria is not an offer of admission.
